General description of the collection: The Army Air Defense Command photograph collection consists of four boxes of photographs dealing with the Army Air Defense Command, missiles, and missile sites in the United State (U.S.). Box 1 contains a photographic history of antiaircraft material in the Ordnance Department (Dept.) in 1934. Various types of weaponry-fixed, vehicle mounted, and towed are shown. Box 2 contains photos which make up a history of the Air Defense Command (ADC) from 1950-1970 showing the various activities and personnel of the command at Ent Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, Colorado. Box 3 contains photos of missile equipment, missile sites, and various types of missiles of the 1950s and early 1960s. Box 4 contains photos of various types of missiles of the 1960s.
